INGREDIENTS IN VINTAGE NATURALS
Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis) ORGANIC - expeller pressed. A non-greasy oil rich in vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, protein, and vitamin E. Especially good for sensitive and irritated skin conditions, softens, soothes, and smoothes dry skin.
Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis- miller) ORGANIC – cold pressed. Is one of the oldest medicinal plants known and used as a healing agent. It is a natural sunscreen, is moisturizing and regenerate skin tissue. The aloe vera used in these products is created by hand, removing the inner filet of whole aloe vera leaves, and then cold pressed.
Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus armeniaca) – expeller pressed. A light rich oil especially good for sensitive, dry, and prematurely aged skin. It soothes inflammation and has softening properties without an oily residue. It is high in vitamins A and C.
Beeswax - this is pure, filtered, cosmetic grade beeswax. It works well in skin care products because of the similarities that exist in both beeswax and human skin. It is a natural hydrating ingredient that increases moisture in skin; has no irritation potential and does not clog pores. It has a general healing and softening effect, and is antiseptic. Even after processing, it still remains a biologically active product, retaining some anti-bacterial properties and also contains some vitamin A, which is necessary for normal cell development.
Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) ORGANIC – expeller pressed. Cocoa was named theobroma and means "food of the gods". It is rich in vitamin E, contains natural antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. A superb moisturizer which slows down moisture loss, is gentle on the skin, and excellent for dry skin and wrinkles. It has been used for centuries in Africa for its moisturizing and healing properties.
Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) ORGANIC - expeller pressed. This is a great oil for general moisturizing and serves as a protective layer helping to retain the moisture in your skin. It is mild oil and is suitable for inflamed, irritated, and sensitive skin.
Grapefruit seed extract (Citris paridisi) - extracted from ORGANICALLY grown grapefruit. It is known for its anti-bacterial, preservative, and deep cleansing properties. This extract is combined with vegetable glycerin, not propylene glycol, which is offered by most suppliers.
Hamamelis water (Hamamelis virginiana) - this is distilled from the witch hazel tree, it has been used medicinally throughout history to treat wounds, insect bites and skin conditions to name a few. It has astringent, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and anesthetic properties; it is an indispensable ingredient in natural skin care products.
Hazelnut Oil (Corylus avellana) - expeller pressed. This oil is good for all skin types, has astringent qualities, very fine texture, light consistency, and contains vitamins, minerals, and proteins. It is soothing and healing to dry irritated skin, useful against thread veins, helps tone and tighten the skin and leaves a non-greasy feeling.
Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) ORGANIC - expeller pressed. Jojoba oil is very similar in composition to human natural skin oils. It penetrates and nourishes the skin. Jojoba oil softens and moisturizes mature and dry skin, contains natural anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties and has a high vitamin E content. It reduces the appearance of fine lines, produces a natural balance of the skin’s moisture level, does not leave a greasy feel, improves flexibility and elasticity, is non-allergenic and great for sensitive skin.
Kukui nut Oil (Aleurites moluccans) – cold pressed. This oil has been used for many years in Hawaii; it is prized for its rejuvenating and soothing effects on the skin. It is a fabulous moisturizer and quickly penetrates the skin leaving a silky-smooth non-greasy feeling. Excellent for dry, damaged, and mature skin, it contains Vitamins A, C & E, providing anti-oxidants that help to protect the skin.
Lavender Flower Water (Lavendula angustifolia) ORGANIC - Also known as Lavender Hydrosol, this comes from direct steam distillation of lavender flowers. It is not essential oil added to water. We use a high quality hydrosol that is distilled in small batches specifically for use as a hydrosol. It is not a by-product of essential oil production.
Meadowfoam Oil (Limanthes alba) - expeller pressed, this oil is pressed from the seeds of Meadowfoam, a plant named because of its resemblance while in bloom to the white foam on the ocean. It has amazing moisturizing and rejuvenating capabilities, and forms a moisture barrier on the skin. It reduces wrinkles and signs of aging, has UV protection properties and leaves a non-greasy feeling.
Mineral Salts (Sodium borate) – this is a natural mineral which occurs from the evaporation of seasonal lakes. It acts as an emulsifier and natural preservative, and cleans and softens the skin. These mineral salts do not contain surfactants and detergents which are commonly found in commercial sodium borate.
Palm Kernel Oil (Elaeis guineensis) ORGANIC – expeller pressed. This oil softens and smoothes the skin and is known for its moisturizing properties. The harvester and manufacturer of the palm kernel oil we use, adheres to highly detailed environmental sustainability programs and harvesting protocols.
Rose Flower Water (petals of Rosa damascena) ORGANIC - Also known as Rose Hydrosol Water, this comes from direct steam distillation of rose petals. It is not essential oil added to water. We use a high quality hydrosol that has been distilled in small batches specifically for use as a hydrosol. It is not a by-product of essential oil production.
Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa rubiginosa) ORGANIC - cold pressed. This oil contains Vitamins A, E & C, which helps to delay the effects of skin aging. It assists with cell regeneration, increases collagen and elastin levels and promotes healthy skin. Rosehip seed oil has been used successfully to treat UV damage, wrinkles, prematurely aging skin, age spots and diminishes broken capillaries. It is a wonderful hydrator and soaks into the skin easily and does not leave a greasy residue.
Shea Nut Oil (Butyrospermum parkii) - expeller pressed. This oil is extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin; it reduces signs of aging, and benefits numerous skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, dryness and irritations. It helps with cell regeneration, capillary circulation, and leaves a smooth and healthy feel to the skin.
Vitamin E (From Soy or Sunflower Oil) - vacuum distilled/unrefined. This vitamin E has been verified and tested GMO (genetically modified organisms) free from crop to finished material; it contains 98.3% mixed tocopherols and measures close to 7500 I.U. per ounce. Vitamin E is the most potent natural antioxidant and it protects natural products from oxidation. It is necessary for the efficient utilization of oxygen in the tissues. Degeneration of collagen has been found to respond to Vitamin E. It is a natural preservative.

They are processed by reputable distillers from freshly harvested plants within clean distilleries; this combination produces the most magnificent essential oils available on the market.
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) ORGANIC - steam distilled. Very good for aging and mature skin, reduces wrinkles and is a skin regenerative. It is antiseptic, antibacterial, and cools inflammations. Some uses in aromatherapy are to balance hormones, relaxation, and to reduce tension.
Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) ORGANIC - steam distilled. Stimulates circulation and the growth of new cells, balances and rejuvenates skin, and is good for all skin types. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, soothing, and healing. Some uses in aromatherapy are for depression, insomnia, and to induce calmness and serenity.
Palma Rosa (Cymbopogon martini) ORGANIC - steam distilled. Reduces wrinkles, is beneficial to mature skin, stimulates cell regeneration, and is hydrating. It is antibacterial, antiseptic, and promotes healing. Some uses in aromatherapy are for stress, nervous tension, and depression.
Rose Otto (Rosa damascena) BULGARIAN – steam distilled. The healing virtues of the rose have been known since antiquity. It is good for all skin types but especially mature and sensitive complexions, wrinkles, broken capillaries, and dry skin. It is antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, antibacterial and moisturizing. Some uses in aromatherapy are for depression, insomnia, nervous tension, stress, and as an aphrodisiac.
Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) ORGANIC - Active against all 3 varieties of infectious organisms: bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It is analgesic, antibacterial, antibiotic, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, fungicidal, and an immune stimulant. Tea tree is added to Vintage Naturals to kill bacteria and as a preservative.
